Miss. Jordan [boudoir]

posted 01.12.2012 under Boudoir

For those who have been following my blog, you might remember Jordan from a previous shoot last year. Her and two of her sisters were planning to shave their head to raise money, so naturally she wanted a shoot with her beautiful long hair she’d been growing out to donate. We had the ridiculously talented Sarah Gibson do her make-up, which consisted of an hour of us laughing like little girls since Sarah is hilarious. Jordan has shaved her head now, and she looks just as beautiful as she does with hair (it’s not fair! haha) so we plan to do an ‘after’ shoot with her pretty bald head. Leave Jordan lots of blog love, as she certainly deserves it!

Ladies, I am having a Valentines Boudoir Marathon January 21st, if you’re interested e-mail me info@jacquelineelizabeth.com or leave a comment. And don’t forget to leave some love for Jordan ;)

Here’s a couple favourites from my boudoir session with one of my favourite brides. We had so much fun shooting these for her husband (who was gracious enough to allow me to post these!) as a wedding gift! For all you lovely ladies out there, I’m hosting a boudoir marathon just in time for Valentines Day on January 21st. If you’re interested either shoot me an e-mail, or comment. In the meantime, enjoy these babely photos!

Hair by the talented Drew Belan at Metro Urban, and make-up by Shannon Payne!

He is a lucky man, that’s for sure!

Best of 2011.

posted 01.4.2012 under personal

Alright, here are some of my favourite photos from 2011. This year has flown by, I feel like I say that every year but I swear every year keeps going by faster and faster. Does this mean I’m getting old?! In 2011 I photographed the wedding of my bestest friend growing up, I went to Seattle to watch a bunch of bands play with amazing people, I shot a wedding in England with some of the nicest people I’ve met, and I bought a house with my boyfriend! From the day we saw the house, to the day we took possession was TEN days. It was absolute madness, and I’m amazed it came together so nicely, but on December 23rd I became a homeowner ;). So my house is almost done, with the exception of my office. I’m currently sitting in a room full of boxes, but luckily my desk is set up! So here it is, some of my favourites from 2011!

So what was your new years resolution(s), if you made any? Mine is to shoot what I love, and love what I shoot. Thank you to everyone I’ve had the pleasure of shooting this year, I’m very fortunate to have the job I do that’s for sure. Also, thank you to those that comment on my blog. It let’s me know you’re out there somewhere and makes me feel warm inside!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Christie & Paul! [married]

posted 12.14.2011 under weddings

Last month not only did I get to spend an entire week with some of the nicest people I’ve met, I got to spend a week with them in ENGLAND! Christie and Paul’s wedding was amazing, and I’m so so honoured to have been a part of it. This is the most image heavy post I’ve posted, and I swear I tried sooo hard to keep it as low as I could.  Did I mention they got married in a castle?!

I was a pretty big fan of all the awesome hats the ladies were wearing. Best dressed wedding hands down.

One of my favourite groomsmen photo of all time.

Once again, thank you so so much Christie and Paul. 11/11/11 will be a day I will never forgot.

Rebecca and Aaron were one of the winners from my Facebook contest. I was amazed at how much support they had from family and friends, they definitely deserved the shoot. They came down from Red Deer and we had an awesome time goofing off and enjoying Tim Hortons.
