Sheila & Travis. [married]

Sheila was one of my best friends growing up, I’ve known her for 20 years. I remember dancing in her bathtub to the Time Warp, and staying up till the wee hours of the night. I remember being jealous of her because she was so damn nice and likeable. You can’t not like Sheila, which probably had to do with why  we were best friends. I remember her and our other best friend Tanya and I would play ‘house’, and I remember guessing who would get married first. I’m pretty happy with the results, she has found her dream guy and I couldn’t be happier for her.

Sheila and Ashley got ready at a rad little salon called Madd Pretty downtown.

Sheila & Travis got married at St. Mary’s Cathedral downtown, which ALSO happens to be our high school church!

Thank you to my lovely second shooter Kendra from Urban Edge Foto. And thanks to Sheila and Travis for letting me be a part of their big day. It’s crazy to think we’re finally growing up, haha.

Liz.

Once upon a time my older brother was engaged to a girl named Liz. Sure, they were like 5, but still! Haha, needless to say I’ve known Liz for what feels like my entire life. She is hands down one of the most modest people I know, and also one of the most beautiful. We decided to have some fun and do a shoot on Sunday and I had a blast.

I wasn’t kidding when I said she’s beautiful. Also.. purple?! A girl after my own heart.

Liz also showed me an area of the city that I never knew existed.. and I’ve lived here my whole life! Haha

Probably one of the best Sundays I’ve had in a long time! Thanks Liz for being such a good sport laying on the ground, and kneeling in long grass. Hopefully it was worth it

Wedding Guest.

On the weekend I did something I haven’t done for years. I attended a wedding as a guest. I won’t lie, the whole concept was a little mind boggling to me, and it definitely took everything in me not to shoot. At the request of my Mom, I took a few photos,  since I was after all her date for the wedding I couldn’t say no. I was a good girl though, and sat in my seat and took.. wait for it.. 3 whole photos. Haha, the rest were photos of my Mom and my new buddy Summer who kept me entertained all day.

I’m extremely happy for Miriam & Peter, and I can’t wait to see your wedding photos!  I have to admit though, as a guest my favourite part of a wedding is the food, afterall a girls gotta eat! What’s your favourite part?!

Vivianna.

On my birthday I had the privilege of shooting the adorable Vivianna. She was almost one week old, and by far one of the sweetest baby girls I’ve ever met. Not only did she not cry, but she was the perfect little model for me.

Genevieve and I both love the colour purple, and headbands. Those together plus Vivianna make my heart melt.

She was the perfect little model.

Cutest family ever.

Vivianna is the most beautifully accessorized newborn I have come across.

Vivianna did the perfect amount of sleeping during her session.

Genvieve had Vivianna’s bedding custom done through a girl on Etsy. They’re Alice in Wonderland, how awesome is that?!

I hope you enjoyed looking at the session as much as I enjoyed shooting it. Vivianna is truly a lucky girl to have such kind hearted parents, though I have a feeling Danny’s going to drive her (and all her potential boyfriends) nuts once she hits her teens, haha. Thanks Gen & Danny for welcoming me into your home, and letting me meet your adorable daughter. I can’t wait to watch her grow up.

My Super Awesome Birthday Sale!!!

Today, I turned 25. Darryl is making me homemade poutine, since it’s my favourite food and I get to shoot the adorable Vivianna (which you’ll have to wait to see!!!). I decided since I only turn 25 once, what better way to celebrate than to have a sale! Tell your friends, cause this sale is on for 25 days!
