Christie & Paul! [married]

posted 12.14.2011 under weddings

Last month not only did I get to spend an entire week with some of the nicest people I’ve met, I got to spend a week with them in ENGLAND! Christie and Paul’s wedding was amazing, and I’m so so honoured to have been a part of it. This is the most image heavy post I’ve posted, and I swear I tried sooo hard to keep it as low as I could.  Did I mention they got married in a castle?!

I was a pretty big fan of all the awesome hats the ladies were wearing. Best dressed wedding hands down.

One of my favourite groomsmen photo of all time.

Once again, thank you so so much Christie and Paul. 11/11/11 will be a day I will never forgot.

Sheila & Travis. [married]

posted 09.6.2011 under weddings

Sheila was one of my best friends growing up, I’ve known her for 20 years. I remember dancing in her bathtub to the Time Warp, and staying up till the wee hours of the night. I remember being jealous of her because she was so damn nice and likeable. You can’t not like Sheila, which probably had to do with why  we were best friends. I remember her and our other best friend Tanya and I would play ‘house’, and I remember guessing who would get married first. I’m pretty happy with the results, she has found her dream guy and I couldn’t be happier for her.

Sheila and Ashley got ready at a rad little salon called Madd Pretty downtown.

Sheila & Travis got married at St. Mary’s Cathedral downtown, which ALSO happens to be our high school church!

Thank you to my lovely second shooter Kendra from Urban Edge Foto. And thanks to Sheila and Travis for letting me be a part of their big day. It’s crazy to think we’re finally growing up, haha.

Wedding Guest.

posted 07.6.2011 under personal, weddings

On the weekend I did something I haven’t done for years. I attended a wedding as a guest. I won’t lie, the whole concept was a little mind boggling to me, and it definitely took everything in me not to shoot. At the request of my Mom, I took a few photos,  since I was after all her date for the wedding I couldn’t say no. I was a good girl though, and sat in my seat and took.. wait for it.. 3 whole photos. Haha, the rest were photos of my Mom and my new buddy Summer who kept me entertained all day.

My Moms beautiful friend Miriam & her new husband Peter!

Cutest little girl ever!

My wedding date/ Mom. And no, my Mom doesn’t resemble a vampire like myself haha.

Summer pretty much made my entire day. And just when you think she can’t get any cuter, check out her boots!

I’m extremely happy for Miriam & Peter, and I can’t wait to see your wedding photos!  I have to admit though, as a guest my favourite part of a wedding is the food, afterall a girls gotta eat! What’s your favourite part?!

Best of 2010.

posted 03.1.2011 under weddings

I cannot, I repeat cannot believe it’s already March. Where have the past two months gone?! With that being said here are some of my favourite images of 2010. One of my most memorable years yet, filled with new clients who’ve become friends, my pup Frankenstein, and lots of good times.

The adorable Gabby’s ruffles & polka dots.

My first wedding of the year was the most intimate wedding I’ve shot. So pretty.

Balloons and chocolates.. my kind of wedding.

My favourite engagement ring to date. Jon got it from a vintage jewelry shop in Seattle. So rad.

Funniest bridesmaids/sisters of the year hands down.

Good genes definitely run in Shawnas family.

BEST expressions, haha.

Hands down two of my favourite people I met in 2010. Did I mention I’ll be shooting their wedding in ENGLAND in November?! So unbelievably excited!

I love love. And I definitely love Christie & Paul.

I love taking detail photos, so it took every nerve in my body not to post a bajillion of them.

An adorable moment brought to you by Sheri & Mike.

Who would have thought West Edmonton Mall would be good for photos?!

One of my favourite people in the world Jordan. 2011 will definitely involve another shoot with her.

Reason #1092 why I love Jordan.

blog11

My favourite highschool sweethearts.

As if Tessa isn’t cute enough, we had to put her and Stan together.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love shoes?

On to my favourite bouquet & shoes of the year..

I’m so glad Nadine loves details as much as I do.

My two favourite moments of 2010.

I love close knit families like Nadines. Makes shooting weddings that much more beautiful.

I’m trying my best not to re-post this entire wedding I just loved every single detail so much.

The girls..

And of course we can’t forget about the boys..

I’m definitely feeling the grey suits. Has a more vintage feel I think.

And of course what better way to end this post, then with my most favourite purchase of 2010..

2 of my favourite things in one photo (Frank and my favourite purple chair)

There you have it. I did my best to keep this relatively short, and I failed miserably. But hey, after all it is a photo blog! Thank you to my amazing clients, friends and family for another hilariously awesome year.

Nadine & Cory. [married]

posted 01.14.2011 under weddings

You know the old saying ‘We’ve saved the best for last’? That saying wraps my 2010 wedding season up perfectly. Nadine and Corys wedding was my last in 2010. It was a big deal for many reasons, first of which is that I met Cory in the 8th grade. We went on to  high school where we met Nadine in the 10th grade. Shooting their wedding was the biggest honour, and so much fun! Nadine was the perfect bride, not only did she pay close attention to detail but she was laid back about everything.

Christian Louboutin has never done wrong by me.

Cutest kids ever.

The boys were quite dashing also. Special thanks to my second shooter Kendra from Urban Edge!

Hands down the cutest ring bearer I have ever seen. Not to mention a purple bow tie and vest?! Awesome!

The lace around her bouquet was from her Nona, soo sweet.

An beautiful Mother Daughter moment.

One of my favourite photos.

Nadine is stunning, and her wedding ensemble was equally beautiful.

Prettiest garder I’ve ever seen!

I loved every single detail of their wedding.

This day was anything but warm. The bridal party knew how much photos meant to Nadine and Cory, so every time someone was cold they would say how warm they were! Haha, talk about dedication!

The stunning bridesmaids.

The boys clean up pretty nicely!

These four have been friends forever. I’m happy to have known them for as long as I have.

Nadine and her adorable younger brother Justin.

In leu of a tradition guestbook they had old typewriters set out, so that people could type them a personal letter instead. Beside were vintage suitcases for people to place them after they’re done! Genius!

Anyone who knows me, knows I have a sweet tooth like you wouldn’t believe.. so I had to take some photos of the amazing candy bar.

The reception was so beautifully decorated. So romantic!

Nadines Mom made their wedding cake.. yep, she made it. 3 tiers of pure beauty.

Not only was the reception beautiful, but the MC’s and speeches were the best I’ve head. I’ve never laughed so hard shooting a wedding..

That would be ‘Nick Carter’ serenading Nadine on the dance floor. Part of Christina and Nanditas amazing speech.

Congratulations Cory & Nadine. Thank you SO much for having me be a part of your big day, and thank you for loving weddings as much as I do!
