Once upon a time my older brother was engaged to a girl named Liz. Sure, they were like 5, but still! Haha, needless to say I’ve known Liz for what feels like my entire life. She is hands down one of the most modest people I know, and also one of the most beautiful. We decided to have some fun and do a shoot on Sunday and I had a blast.

I wasn’t kidding when I said she’s beautiful. Also.. purple?! A girl after my own heart.

Liz also showed me an area of the city that I never knew existed.. and I’ve lived here my whole life! Haha

Probably one of the best Sundays I’ve had in a long time! Thanks Liz for being such a good sport laying on the ground, and kneeling in long grass. Hopefully it was worth it ;)

Make up by the talented Sarah Gibson (MAC downtown). Visit http://sarahashleyfaces.blogspot.com/ to check her out!

Gabby.

Where has the past year gone?! I first shot Gabby a year ago, and it honestly feels like yesterday. I had the pleasure of visiting their beautiful home, and spending some quality time with the adorable Gabby.

Gabby is the first 1 yearold I have met who can play the harmonica!

I’m thinking she’s going to be musically inclined ;)

I can’t wait to see how big Gabby is next year! She’s going to be a beauty like her Momma!

Jordan.

Jordan has weaseled her way into my heart, and quickly became one of my favourite people. Her and I love eating and laughing, and being ridiculous together. Jordan is also drop dead gorgeous, so I’ve been wanting to do a shoot with her since we first met. Her makeup was done by the oh so lovely Nikki Benzel from MAC, and her hair done by myself. Brace yourselves..

Eat your hearts out!

Sandy is absolutely lovely, everything about her. Her smile, laugh, family, everything. I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon at her beautiful home to take photos of her baby girl. I have to warn you, this family is way too cute. Proceed at your own discretion.

Hands down the most impressive babies closet I have yet to see. It was a surprise for Sandy, a lovely surprise at that ;)

I fell in love with her dress. Polka dots + ruffles = adorable. (Unless you’re an adult.. not so cute then, haha!)

How cute is she?!?! She was so well behaved it was amazing. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Miss Jennifer

posted 10.12.2009 under portraits

I hope everyone has had a turkey (or turkey substitute) filled Thanksgiving! As I’ve promised, here is my blog entry for the weekend.

It’s cold out, so I’ve decided to blog about something that’s long overdue. This summer I was fortunate enough to hang out with Jennifer during the short time she was in town. We went to high school together, and she is still as beautiful as ever. So I did her hair, and we headed down to the MAC downtown and she had her make-up done by Lucy. We had tons of fun goofing around and playing with balloons!

She makes me look like a vampire with her golden skin, haha. She’s currently enjoying beautiful Europe, while I on the other hand am in Calgary where winter has had an early start. I did however enjoy a delicious turkey dinner at James’ Dad’s house this evening, and we’re now watching movies.. so life is pretty good! I definitely have lots to be thankful for this thanksgiving.
