Rebecca & Aaron. [engaged]

posted 10.15.2011 under Engagements

Rebecca and Aaron were one of the winners from my Facebook contest. I was amazed at how much support they had from family and friends, they definitely deserved the shoot. They came down from Red Deer and we had an awesome time goofing off and enjoying Tim Hortons.

Nadine & Cory. [engaged]

posted 09.16.2010 under Engagements

Nadine and Cory have known each other since the 9th grade, and started dating in the 11th. They’ve been dating for 8 years, which at our age is pretty incredible. They are two of the sweetest people, and I couldn’t have picked a better match myself. Their wedding is Saturday, and I can honestly say I’m SO excited for it.

Their happy family!

Nadine has the biggest most beautiful brown eyes.

We figured our Jr. High where they met would be the perfect place to finish our session. I cannot wait for Saturday, I know Nadine is going to be the cutest bride!

Sally & Jon. [engaged]

posted 04.30.2010 under Engagements

Sally and Jon are the kind of people you meet, and immediately want to be friends with. I was fortunate enough to do an engagement shoot with them and had a BLAST! The talented Krista Dee did Sally’s hair and make-up, and then we were off for a fun afternoon together.

We couldn’t NOT take photos with the adorable Jessie..

If my future husband is out there reading this.. please take Sally & Jon ring shopping with you. I’m pretty sure Sally’s ring is the most beautiful ring I have ever seen, and it suits her perfectly.

I love love. Couples like Sally & Jon make my job easy.

What beautiful spring afternoon is complete without ice cream!? This photo is one of my favourites.

This just happens to be the exact spot Sally and Jon met on their first date..

I had so much fun with you Sally & Jon, you’re one of the sweetest couples I know. I hope you enjoy your photos!

Christal & Francois. [engaged]

posted 03.2.2010 under Engagements

I briefly met Christal at Tessas costume birthday party in 2006, I only remember because her and her boyfriend Francois weren’t wearing costumes. I on the other hand attended in full costume as the darkest haired Marilyn Monroe in history. These photos are the second and third tagged photos of me in facebook history, which means they’re old haha.

As you can see, Chantel is the casual brunette version of Marilyn! Haha, clearly we weren’t very original. Now that we’re done looking at these not so good photos of myself, let’s get back to Christal.

I received an e-mail from her last year, and we started e-mailing back and forth about her upcoming wedding. Her, Francois and I went for hot chocolate and we ended up chatting for hours. Christal is the type of girl you can’t help but love. She’s lovely, and ridiculously sweet. She’s also an incredibly talented hairdresser here in Calgary (figures Tessa, an extremely talented make-up artist would be good friends with a hairdresser! haha). One of the first things I found out about Christal is that she loves purple, maybe even as much as I do!!! How could I not love her?! Haha, with that being said Francois is equally as rad as she is. When you’re around them it’s obvious how perfect the two of them are together.

Here’s some of their engagement photos from January!!!

Meet Taquito!!!

Christals engagement ring is unique, and perfect for her.

Once again we found ourselves at a coffee shop, where we wound up chatting for hours. I have the best job in the world! I get paid to hang out with awesome people :) I’m extremely excited to shoot their wedding next month! With talented girls like Christal and Tessa involved, I know it’s going to be a beautiful wedding.

Sheri & Mike [engaged]

posted 12.4.2009 under Engagements

Tis the season to be.. busy!!! I’m sorry I’ve gotten behind on my blogging, Christmas between the studio and shooting has been crazy! Anyways, onto Sheri and Mike…

Before Sheri and Mikes engagement session, I had only spoken with Sheri via e-mail since they’re from Edmonton. She is just as sweet in person as I expected, not to mention beautiful. Throughout our e-mails I got to know little bits and pieces about them, one of the things mentioned was how they love going to the movies. Now anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE the movies. A little too much even! So I came up with this idea to take them to the Plaza Theatre (which I love!), and surprised them with the marquee sign (which James was nice enough to change for me). Sheri and Mike are awesome, I’m super excited for their wedding in June!

I can’t wait to see you both in June!!!
