In early elementary, I ran a successful homemade iced tea stand outside my home in Kensington (Calgary, Alberta). After a hard day in the sun, I would take my earnings and walk down the street to Safeway. Most kids my age would have bought barbie dolls & comic books, while I on the other hand bought Bridal magazines. The cashiers expressions were always priceless. I would lay on my bed and flip through them for hours, daydreaming about everything from beading & lace to lilacs & gerber daisies. It was then that I truly fell in love with weddings, I fell in love with love.

Years later, my love for love has evolved. I consider myself lucky to be able to do what I love for a living. Whether it’s shooting a wedding or family portraits, I love capturing every facet of love.

Ignorance, drinking & driving, charlie horses, tripping over yourself, when my ankles give out, when my stomach growls so loud that I think my phone is vibrating, falling up stairs, when people don’t signal or shoulder check, allergic reactions, sun burns, mosquito bites and Diet Coke.
