Nadine & Cory. [engaged]

posted 09.16.2010 under Engagements

Nadine and Cory have known each other since the 9th grade, and started dating in the 11th. They’ve been dating for 8 years, which at our age is pretty incredible. They are two of the sweetest people, and I couldn’t have picked a better match myself. Their wedding is Saturday, and I can honestly say I’m SO excited for it.

Their happy family!

Nadine has the biggest most beautiful brown eyes.

We figured our Jr. High where they met would be the perfect place to finish our session. I cannot wait for Saturday, I know Nadine is going to be the cutest bride!

Tessa. [sneak peek]

posted 09.14.2010 under Maternity

Tessa and I met four years ago. What I didn’t know then, is that her and I would stay friends and she would become one of my favourite people. You may remember her from her Dominican wedding I shot, or Christal & Francois’ wedding (she was a bridesmaid!), she’s also an incredibly talented makeup artist who I am fortunate enough to work with regularly. Well today is Tessa’s birthday! Not only is she pregnant, but she’s due! She is one of the most loving people I have ever met, I know her and Mike are going to be amazing parents. I’m secretly hoping she has her beautiful baby today.. but shhh! that’s between you and me ;)

The two of us got together a few weeks back and took some photos, and since today is her birthday I figured I would share a sneak peek!

Happy birthday Tessa!

Thank Blog It’s Friday! [10]

posted 09.10.2010 under personal

This week has gone by way too fast, wasn’t it just Monday? I’ve had a headcold this week, which apparently translated to me being a whiney baby. ‘MY HEAD HURTS… I don’t feel good, my face hurtssss’ are some of the things my poor family, friends and boyfriend have had to endure this week, haha. Number one thing I’m grateful for this week, is my family, friends and boyfriend for putting up with me when I’m sick. Despite my lovely cold, today has been a good day!

This week I’m grateful for the La Senza Outlet. The studio is across from one, and I’ve always thought it was only a La Senza Girl, and today I decided to take a ‘peek’ inside. That was a HUGE mistake. For any boudoir girls out there reading this (or any girl for that matter), this place is a goldmine. I purchased 14 pairs of undies, 9 bras, 7 babydolls, and a pair of slippers, can’t forget the slippers haha. Normally I wouldn’t blog about undergarments, but I purchased all of that (31 items) for $134 including tax. I love a good deal, needless to say I did a little happy dance on the inside.

I’m also grateful for Christie & Paul, the couple I posted on my last blog entry. They are two of the nicest people, and proved that today. As I stated before I’ve been sick this week, so I haven’t been in the best mood. Tonight I dropped off a CD at their place, and not only did Christie greet me with a big hug, but a bouquet of purple flowers (everyone knows I loveee purple), gift card, and a super sweet card. Probably the sweetest thing anyone has done for me in a long time. So I’m thankful for Christie and Paul for making my day, I have the best job in the world.

Since everyone loves photos, here’s another shot from Christie & Pauls session!

Surprisingly enough that shirt wasn’t even planned, so awesome!

Christie & Paul. [engaged]

posted 09.3.2010 under weddings

Christie and Paul met playing soccer. How awesome is that?! They compliment eachother, and are so ridiculously cute together. They’re getting married in a castle in England, which just adds to how awesome they are!

I love how happy they are together.

I love Christie’s smile. It’s infectious.

Laughter makes me happy.

I love plain coloured walls, this wall was no exception!

I had SO much fun shooting you two, Christie you’re going to make a stunning bride!
